These are additional options or adjustments that are applied to the item during the sales transaction. These allow you to customize or tailor an item according to the customer's specific needs or preferences, as modifiers can include options such as size, color, additional ingredients, add-ons or any other feature that can be adjusted or added to the base item.
Panel to Manage Modifiers
It is a tool that offers several functionalities and options to facilitate the efficient management of modifiers, providing flexibility and customization in the shopping experience for customers.
Segment | Description |

Create Modifier | This is the creation of a modifier of the item in the database. |
Delete All | With this field, you can delete all registered modifiers. |
Mass Import / Export | This instruction indicates that a specific option must be chosen to perform an import or export process. In case of importing: The desired template must be downloaded in order to correctly load the information. In case of exporting: You must select how you want to obtain the information. Available item templates.
Note: Selecting the Import option will download an empty template for the data to be added, and the export option will come with all the data registered in the system. |
Active | From this field, you can access the modifiers that are archived, so that they can be viewed or activated. |
Code | In this section, you can see the encryption previously established for each item. (Note: It is assigned at the time of generating the ingredient). |
Name | This is the title given to the modifier. |
Modifier Type | The types of modifiers are Optional, Forced and Multiple. |
Minimum / Maximum | It is the minimum and maximum number of times this option can be added. |
Order | It is the organization that this modifier will have when it is displayed on the iPad. |
Total Cost | This is the sum of the expenses specifically associated with the implementation and use of the modifiers in the system and may vary according to the complexity of the modifiers required, the number of modifiers to be implemented and the specific needs. |
Options | These are the number of possibilities included in this modifier. |
Actions | These are for View, Update, Deactivate modifiers and assign items to modifier. |
Note: Currently, in the System, we have the Export Format section inverted with Export Data, we are working to correct it.
Modifiers General Data Panel
This is the part of the system where administrators or users with appropriate permissions can add, configure and customize the different modifier options, since this tool allows you to adjust specific characteristics of an item or service, such as price, ingredients, portion sizes, discounts, among others. These modifiers offer additional options for customization that provide flexibility for both the customer and the business.

Code | This is the unique identifier assigned to each modifier. |
Name* | Is the title given to the modifier. |
Modifier Type* | Refers to the configuration options that determine how the modifier will be applied in a transaction and what choices or restrictions the customer has when selecting modifier options. Optional: Means that the customer is free to choose whether to apply the modifier. Forced: Means that the customer must select a modifier option in order to complete the transaction. Multiple: Allows the customer to select and apply several options within the modifier. (Note: the Multiple option is not found in this panel, it is placed once the modifier is created, from the Modifier Management Panel). |
Order | This is the order that the modifier will have on the iPad. |
Minimum | This is the minimum amount allowed for the modifier; it sets a lower limit for the additional amount that can be subtracted or added to the base price. |
Maximum | Is the maximum amount allowed for the modifier; sets an upper limit for the additional amount that can be added to the base price. |
Status | Current status of the modifier (active or inactive). |
E-Commerce? | This checker is selected so that the modifier can be displayed in the e-commerce integration. |
Charge only if greater? | This field applies if the modifier value exceeds the predefined limit of the item. |
Allow repeat? | This option determines if the modifier can be applied multiple times. |
Add Modifier | Allows you to add a new modifier option to the system. |
Search | From this field you can easily access a specific modifier option. |
Create Modifier | Once all the necessary information is filled in, press this icon to save the modifier in the system. |

Add Modifier Option
The system allows you to add options to further adjust the characteristics of a new or existing modifier, so that you can offer more variants or customizations for what is already configured.

Option Code | This is the unique identifier assigned to each option within the modifier. |
Option Name | Is the title given to the option. |
Sale Price | This refers to the amount that the option will be added to the modifier, which may or may not change the original price of the item when applied to the transaction. |
Order | This is the order that the option will have within the modifier when displayed on the iPad. |
Next Modifier? | This option allows you to configure and add a new modifier to the system after you have previously created one. |
Order Types? | This field is important to define in which order types the option can be used. |
E-Commerce? | This checker is selected so that the modifier option can be seen in the e-commerce integration. |
Visible when printing? | This checker is selected so that the modifier is visible when printing the order. |
Does it count as a diner? | This is activated so that when this modifier option is selected, it counts as one more diner seated at the table. |
Upload Image | Here, the registration image of the modifier option is displayed for quick identification. |
Add Option | This icon saves all the registered information and returns to the Modifier Management Panel. |
Modifier Viewing Panel
In this section, you can view all the information, settings and options related to the modifier. It provides a clear view of the items supported by the modifier and the options available for each one. In addition, a history is presented showing how many times the modifier has been used and on which specific items it has been applied. This is useful for any follow-up and to ensure that the modifier is used effectively and consistently.
