Optimize the structure of your catalog using Invu POS through the orderly creation of categories and products. These adjustments will automatically synchronize across all devices linked to your business. Proper category management plays a fundamental role in effectively organizing products, facilitating the generation of clear and precise reports.
Category Creation
In this specific section, the processes involved in creating categories in the Menu section, located within the administrative panel, are presented. This detailed analysis will cover both the individual creation of categories and the option to carry out this process in bulk. Additionally, each step will be explained with the aim of providing a complete and clear understanding of how to efficiently manage categories in this specific system context.
- Go to Menu > Categories.
- Navigate to Items Categories > Create categories.
- Here is the requested information:
- Image: The standard size is 900 x 400 pixels, and the accepted formats are PNG, JPG, or JPEG.
- Description: Determines the name of the category.
- Note: This section is necessary to create the category.
- Status: Sets whether the category is active (visible) or inactive (disabled) on the iPad.
- Order: Defines the position of the category in the Invu POS application. It is set with ascending numbers; if not specified, the number will default to 1, and its order will be established alphabetically.
- Display in Delivery?: Sets whether the category will be visible in delivery integrations.
- Select "create" to save the information.
- Categories are created in bulk:
- Access the template provided in the link.
- Enter the respective information.
- Save it in the accepted formats (XLS, XLSX, ODS).
- Press import.
Category Management
Once categories have been established, the necessary skills to manage them will be available. Export | Facilitates the extraction of category information in the selected format, which is useful for backing up data or making modifications in bulk. |
Bulk Edit | Allows making significant changes to multiple categories at the same time. This simplifies the task of adjusting common properties or making large-scale modifications to the category structure. |
Deactivate | Offers the option to deactivate the category without deleting it completely. This can be useful when you want to hide a specific category without losing associated information. Note: To reactivate an archived category, you will find the "Archived Categories" menu at the top right, where you can access to view the list and activate them. |
