Creation of Categories (Invu 3)

Optimize your catalog structure using Invu POS through the orderly creation of categories and products. These settings will be automatically synchronized on all devices linked to your business. The proper management of categories plays a fundamental role in the effective organization of products, facilitating the generation of clear and accurate reports.

Category Creation

In this specific section, the processes involved in the creation of categories in the Menu section, located within the administrative panel, are presented. This detailed analysis will cover both the individual creation of categories and the option to carry out this process in bulk. In addition, each step will be explained in order to provide a complete and clear understanding of how to efficiently manage categories in this specific system context.

1. Select Menu > Categories. 
2. Create categories. 
3. Enter the requested information: Note: The fields with * are required to create the category.
   1. Category Name: Determines the name of the category.
   2. Status: Sets whether the category is active (visible) or inactive (disabled) on the iPad.
   3. Order: Defines the position of the category in the Invu POS application. It is set with ascending numbers; if not specified, the number will default to 1 and its order will be set alphabetically.
   4. Show in Delivery: Sets whether the category will be visible in the delivery integrations. 
4. Select create to save the information. 
5. Create categories in bulk:
   1. You access the template that appears in the link.  
   2. Enter the respective information.  
   3. Save in the accepted formats (XLS, XLSX, ODS).
   4. Click on import.
