Create Subcategories (Invu 3)

They are a way to organize and classify items in a more detailed way within main categories. This classification system helps to improve inventory management, facilitates searching and improves the sales experience.



Creation of Subcategories

It is to add a specific classification within the main category, allowing to organize the items in a more detailed way while facilitating its management and search. 

To create a subcategory, the following steps must be taken into account: 

  • Select the Subcategories tab (this can be found when the Menu tab is opened).
  • The General Data is filled in:  
    • Code: Unique identifier of the subcategory.
    • Category: The main category to which the subcategory belongs is selected.
    • Subcategory Name: Enter the title of the subcategory.
    • Order: Sets the order of the subcategory for display in the application.
    • Taxes: The tax percentage applicable to the subcategory is defined.
    • Profit Percentage: Specifies the profit percentage associated to the subcategory.
    • Integration Code: Provides the integration code (Only if applicable).
    • Status: Specifies the status of the subcategory (active/inactive) in the application.
    • Image: Allows attaching an image representative of the subcategory.

                        (Note: If you do not have E-commerce, you can click on Create Subcategory and finish the process).

  • The E-commerce & Delivery tab is accessed. 
    • In this tab you only have to register the name of the Category in the e-commerce, the order it will have in the E-commerce, if it is an eligible option to be shown in Delivery and if it is sold in the e-commerce.


Mass Import

The creation of Subcategory by mass import involves adding a specific classification within the main category, from an external document.

  • The Mass Import tab is selected and the corresponding file is attached, in XLS, XLSX or ODS format.
