Creating a table plan is the configuration of a visual and functional representation of the tables within a table service establishment. This plan facilitates the organization and management of the dining area.

Table Section

This is the section where the configuration of the table plans within the system is managed. From here you can adjust the graphics and characteristics related to the tables of the establishment.

The Table Graphic Side field is selected.

By selecting this option, the system allows you to work visually with the tables represented in the plan. This graphic design facilitates the creation, editing and customization of each table on the map of the establishment.

Creating a table

When entering a graphic to the map, the Create Table option appears, where the Creation Options are configured.

  • Name
    • A unique identifier is assigned to the table, this can be alphabetic, numeric or alphanumeric. This name facilitates the management and assignment of orders.
  • Number of Guests
    • Defines the capacity of the table in terms of how many people it can accommodate.
  • Default item when opening the table
    • Configures an item that is automatically assigned when the table is opened.
  • Default table overtime item
    • Configures an item that is assigned when the table has been occupied for a long time.
  • Copy
    • Duplicates the configuration of an existing table, including its data such as name, capacity, and item assignments. Useful for replicating similar tables without repeating the configuration manually.
  • Save
    • Saves changes made to the table configuration and applies them to the floor plan.
  • Delete
    • Deletes the selected table from the graphical drawing.
  • Close
    • Closes the configuration window without saving changes.

Note: To edit an already created table, you can right-click on it in the graphical drawing to access the editing options.

Table plan

Data required for the configuration:

  • Name
    • Identifies the table plan.
  • Background
    • Allows you to add a background image that visually represents the area, such as a map of the room or a decorative design.

Note: Adding an image is optional and is not required to complete the creation of the plan.
