Order Type

Refers to the way in which orders or sales are classified or processed according to sales method or customer experience. This classification is critical to optimizing the management of business operations, as it allows companies to identify patterns in customer preferences and adapt their marketing and sales strategies accordingly. In addition, processing orders in an organized manner ensures that they are fulfilled efficiently, which improves customer satisfaction and fosters loyalty.



Create Order Types

It is to define a specific category of orders that can be placed within the system. This process allows you to organize and classify orders according to different criteria. 

To create an order type, follow the steps below:


  • Access to the Configuration Tab
    • Access the Configuration Tab.
    • Navigate to the System section.
  • Select Order Types
    • Select the Order Types box.
  • Create Order Types
    • Click on the Create Order Type icon.
    • Fill in the General Data.
      1. Order Type Description: Name to be assigned to the order type.
      2. Status: Indicate if the order type is active or inactive.
      3. Tip Type: Select the type of automatic tip you want to be added to the order.
      4. Ask for Address: Indicate if the customer's address will be asked for.
      5. Ask for Table Service: Indicate if using this type of order will add a table to the order.
      6. Automatic Pre-Account: Indicate if an automatic pre-account will be printed for this type of order.
      7. Integration Code: Enter the corresponding code if applicable.
  • Save Order Type
    • Click on the Create Order Type icon to save the information.
    • The system will redirect you to the Order Type panel. 

Order Type Panel

This is a tool that provides the ability to manage the order types created in the system in an organized and efficient manner.


Below is a description of the functions available in this panel:

  • Entries: this is the number of order types that can be displayed on each page of the panel. It is preset from 10, 25, 50 and 100.
  • Search: In this field, you can access faster to the order type by searching from the description.
  • Number (#): It is the order of the order type, automatically set by the system.
  • Description: It is the name given to the order type.
  • Status: Indicates whether it is active (yes) or inactive (no).
  • Ask for Address: Shows if address will be asked for (yes) or not (no).
  • Pre-account Automatic: Shows if a pre-account will be printed for this type of order (yes) or not (no).
  • Tip Type: Displays the type of tip that was set at the time the order type was created.
  • Order Table Service: Indicates whether table service will be provided for this order type (yes) or not (no).
  • Available Actions
    • View: Allows you to view the details of the order type.
    • Edit: Is the possibility to modify the created order types (Note: Order types created by the system cannot be edited).
    • Deactivate: Allows to deactivate an order type that will no longer be used.
