Splitting orders involves automatically dividing the total bill between two or more people. Whether through manually assigning items or products consumed by each individual or through equal calculation of the total, the corresponding amount is quantified precisely and without complications.

Adding Accounts within the Order

This feature allows the creation of additional accounts within the order, which are completely independent of each other.

By using the "add account" icon, the required number of new accounts (empty accounts) can be included.

Using the Split Command

This option allows for the specific selection and division of individual elements of the account. Desired items can be chosen and assigned to different accounts, or new accounts can be created.

There are three functions that can be obtained with the Split command.

Split Account

  • This is achieved when one or more items of the account are selected after pressing the Split Command. (Note: After this, two results can be obtained - creating a new account with the selected items and charging the items to an existing account).
    • Create New Account
      • The Split command must be pressed and the desired items selected. Subsequently, the Split command is touched again, and the selected items will be automatically moved to the new account.
    • Split Accounts with Other Open Ones
      • To achieve this movement, items must first be loaded into the order.
        1. Then the Split command is pressed.
        2. The desired items are selected.
        3. The Split command is pressed again.
        4. A selection menu will appear.
        5. The account to which the item will be moved is selected.

Split Items Equitably

  • This is achieved when a single item of the account is selected after pressing the Split Command.
    1. To achieve this division, access the order and split the account.
    2. Press the Split command.
    3. Select the desired item.
    4. Press the Split command again.
    5. A selection menu will appear.
    6. Select Split Item Equitably. (Note: If there are multiple open accounts, the item's value will be divided equally among them).

Dividing Equally

This involves dividing the total bill equally between two or more people, so that each pays the same amount.

To divide the order into two equal accounts, items must be loaded into the order and the account number must be held down until the numeric panel appears. From there, the required number of accounts can be assigned and then press Accept.

Observations

These are some notes with additional information and practical advice, as well as additional clarifications on the account splitting process.

  • When splitting the account, decimals are recorded.
  • In these orders, it is possible to assign the customer's name to each account.
  • Accounts opened within the order can be expanded and collapsed by sliding from the corresponding number, allowing for better visualization of them.
    • Expand (to the Left)
    • Collapse (to the Right)
  • To calculate the tip with split accounts, it must be calculated after the split and applied to each account individually. (Note: The first account retains its tip percentage if the split occurs after it has been assigned).
  • When assigning items or payments to a split account, it is important that it is selected in green.
  • If there are empty accounts, they must be selected and canceled by pressing the fiscal icon to close the order. (Note: Once closed, accounts cannot be merged).
